STEEL PRICES RISE:
The carbon steel market is poised to grow by 699.35 MT during 2020-2024 progressing at a CAGR of almost 8% during the forecast period." (Source: Business Wire)
This is what we are seeing all across the industry; day after day new emails from vendor's telling us that their prices are rising, every order we make for materials needs to be revised because the last price is no longer valid, and for good reason. The cost of steel materials has been steadily increasing throughout 2020, and it unfortunately has not slowed into 2021. The reduced capacities of companies in this industry due to Covid-19 health and safety regulations continues to have an impact. As a result, we are forced to increase our list pricing for 2021 and add a steel surcharge to off-set the rising costs that is projected to continue this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have on our close and prospective customers. We we will do what we can to keep our prices low when the opportunities are found, but right now we are left with little options.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Product overview
Eterra Full Sized BMX-600 Concrete Mixer Attachment
Description
The Eterra Full Sized Skid Steer Concrete Mixer is designed for operators who need a fast, efficient way to mix and pour materials on-site. Built for heavy-duty use, this attachment lets you scoop, mix, and dispense without extra steps or equipment. Unlike standard concrete buckets, this mixer offers three dispensing options: a hydraulically controlled center chute that dispenses out the bottom using a 12V solenoid, allowing operators to control the flow directly from the cab; a manual side chute that lets a second person adjust material volume by raising or lowering a handle; and the ability to pour directly from the top grate for quick dumping.
Inside the mixer, Hardox 400 steel mixing paddles and an internal auger system ensure a consistent, even mix—something standard concrete buckets can’t provide. The paddles break up clumps and keep the material moving, making it more efficient for both wet and dry mixes. The reversible chain drive system powers the mixing drum in both directions, preventing material buildup and reducing wear over time. The bolted-on, easy-lift grate makes cleanup simple and includes a built-in bag splitter for faster material loading. Constructed from A572 Grade 50 steel, this 21 cubic foot (158.5 Gallon) model is the largest in the lineup, with smaller 9 and 16 cubic foot options available for jobs that require less volume. It’s also versatile enough to mix mortar, stucco, compost, sand, and even livestock feed, making it a practical attachment for construction, landscaping, and farm work.
When selecting this model, please note the weight of this attachment when full is 4,564 pounds.

Mixing Instructions
Mixing Concrete 101: We recommend using Redimix/Quikrete for the best results.
A typical mix is 1 part water, 2 parts cement and 3 parts sand/gravel by volume. A dry mix should be mixed first with the water added slowly. If a slump cone is available, adjust water to achieve a 2" - 3" (51 - 76mm) slump. The final water content should be approximately 6 - 9 pt (2.8 - 4.3L) of water per 80 lb (36.3 kg) bag of concrete. The easiest way for you to achieve the best results is to use bagged pre-mix in 80 lb. bags. Each bag provides .60 cu. ft. of finished concrete. This translates to 15 bags of mix per batch. The current price today per bag is about $4. For small batch on demand concrete, it does not get much better.
Water
The first time you create a batch it is advisable to use a 55 gallon barrel that is prefilled with water. Use a white 5 gallon pail and measure 4 gallons inside the pail and draw a line inside the bucket so you can scoop a predetermined amount each time you fill the bucket. The idea is to add enough water to the mix and keep track of how much water you have used so that each consecutive batch will be the same consistency.
On-Site Mix
If you choose to mix the entire batch on your own, it is still advisable to buy your sand/gravel premixed to insure the quality you would expect for a professional batch. If you still would like to mix your own then scoop enough sand/gravel into your mixer to cover the paddles. Add 1.5 bags of Portland Cement per batch for 4000 psi concrete or 2 bags per batch for 5000 psi concrete. Once you have added water, the mixture will compress so you can add more sand/gravel mix to top off the batch. Once the batch is thoroughly mixed, it is safe to transport to the pour site.
Clean-up
Lots of water with some pea gravel added. Run the mixer for a few minutes and rinse any other spots that you see that have lingering traces of mix. A small spray bottle with diesel added will help to keep everything from rusting and sticking the next time you use your mixer.
