STEEL PRICES RISE:
The carbon steel market is poised to grow by 699.35 MT during 2020-2024 progressing at a CAGR of almost 8% during the forecast period." (Source: Business Wire)
This is what we are seeing all across the industry; day after day new emails from vendor's telling us that their prices are rising, every order we make for materials needs to be revised because the last price is no longer valid, and for good reason. The cost of steel materials has been steadily increasing throughout 2020, and it unfortunately has not slowed into 2021. The reduced capacities of companies in this industry due to Covid-19 health and safety regulations continues to have an impact. As a result, we are forced to increase our list pricing for 2021 and add a steel surcharge to off-set the rising costs that is projected to continue this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have on our close and prospective customers. We we will do what we can to keep our prices low when the opportunities are found, but right now we are left with little options.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Product overview
Eterra PDX-1000 Excavator Breaker Style Post Driver Attachment
Description
The Eterra PDX-1000 Excavator Post Driver is designed for powerful and precise post installation, delivering 1,000 ft-lbs of impact force per strike to drive posts quickly and securely in challenging ground conditions. Using a nitrogen-charged power cell, compressed by the excavator’s hydraulics, the PDX-1000 ensures consistent force with minimal recoil, making it an efficient and reliable choice for fencing, road signs, and structural posts. Unlike skid steer-mounted drivers, this excavator model offers greater reach and maneuverability, allowing operators to place posts over obstacles and work on uneven terrain. A heavy-duty housing with rubber isolators absorbs vibration, protecting both the machine and operator from excess strain.
Operators can choose between two driver head options:
- Flat Driver Head – Ideal for larger surface contact, distributing force evenly across the post.
- Domed Driver Head – Designed for more focused impact, driving posts deeper with increased precision.
Additionally, an optional 5 ft. breaker spike is available for pre-driving holes or breaking through tough underground obstructions like rock or concrete. The post guide housing system securely holds 2", 4", 6", and 8" posts, while the guide housing can be removed for posts over 9 inches, allowing the driver head to make direct contact for maximum force application. Constructed from high-tensile strength tool steel, the PDX-1000 is built to withstand constant impact on wood, steel, and composite posts, making it a dependable choice for excavator-mounted post driving.
