During the month of November, we're always astounded by the commitment of our country to come together to support our troops, honor those who have served and remember those who gave life and limb to serve our country's mission. Regardless of politics, men and women are still serving and there injuries far extend the physical trauma that some endure. As to not takeaway from the nature of this blog post and the excitement behind the announcement we are making here, we will comment on something that has become a bother to many, and that is the "memorial day sales". A time when families across the country are honoring fallen or injured soldiers, some organizations use the day as an opportunity to extend a sale to their customers and frankly, that's just not right.

Without hesitation, we learned about the Soldier's Project days before November the 11th and decided this year we wouldn't just say something, we would do something. From November 11th and to the end of the year, SkidSteerSolutions.com will be donating 1% of the total closeout sales to the Soldiers Project. 

The Soldiers Project (TSP) is a nonprofit organization, headquartered in Los Angeles, that provides free mental health services to Post 9/11 U.S. Military service members, veterans and loved ones. TSP recruits licensed mental health professionals to provide these services pro-bono. We do not turn anyone away based on branch of service, discharge status, or combat experience. We also serve family members and loved ones including spouses, partners, parents and children.

TSP has chapters in six states, with Southern California being the largest and the location of our national office. In 2017, TSP provided care to more than 600 men, women and children throughout the U.S.

Our biggest challenge is recruitment and training of therapists to meet the need. Our service members deserve the highest quality care, and we ensure that no one treats a client until they are vetted and trained. Your support helps us advertise, recruit and provide ongoing support to these wonderful volunteers to give back to our military community.
